Cain is just such a treasure, he's 40k's most relatable character, just a dude with imposter syndrome trying to survive the madness of the far future
He's a commissar but he didn't get a choice, nobody who goes to the schola does, you either adapt or die/enslaved for worse duties than being a stormtrooper, commissar, scribe etc.
Cain didn't choose his line of work
