My brother and I age 15 and 11 pooled our money, and hopped the bus to Woolworths to buy this album after waiting for it to go on sale. We played it to death on my dad’s pioneer turntable, blasting it all day. After multiple requests from my mother to turn it down, she snatched it off the turntable and frisbeed it across the room. It hit the wall and shattered. Couple days later a new B in B album showed up . Thanks Mum 😊❤️

56 years old, check. Guitar picker, check. African American, check. Bought this when it debuted, double checkaruny. Like Brian Johnson, check again. Missing Bon, check mate. To all acdc brothers and sisters, peace. Rip Malcolm. I just had to leave a comment.

Lucky enough to see the band live on this tour back in 1980, at the Mayflower in Southampton - incredible comeback gig! Bought the tour T-shirt then - and it still fits this 67-year old! 🙂

I'm going on 52, looking back and what music is now I got to own one of the best rock albums of all time, saw them live at least 5 times. One of the best rock bands ever. The way the music industry is today you will never get another band like this.

Imagine being a band and your lead singer dies (Bon Scott)...you take years to recover. You get a new singer, Brian Johnson, but you're afraid...you're afraid to release your follow-up album to a killer (Highway To Hell) album that you released 3 years earlier...As a fan you hear 'BONGggggggg'.......BONGggggggggg'.......BONGgggggggg and Hells Bells riff starts.....guitars are clicking, Drums are drumming....new singer has his back to the crowd.......and after 3 1/2 years of waiting, Brian Johnson rips into "I'm rolling Thunder, pouring rain" and history is made..... REAL STORY

This album came out right before I started my Senior year of High School. I was already an AC/DC fan so I was skeptical whether they could replace Bon Scott adequately. In THOSE days, you bought albums without hearing any of it but the one or two hits they played on the radio and hoped for the best with the rest of the songs. Usually you were disappointed and most albums had one or two good songs and a bunch of filler trash. NOT THIS ONE! I remember sitting down to listen to it, prepared to move that needle to the next song over and over. NO. Every single song was GREAT and the vocals were just as good as before. One of those rare moments of delight for a rock fan.
