If I keep watching this channel (which is guaranteed) I’ll wind up with an old Honda in my garage. Time to fire up Autotempest!

I grew up with 90’s Japanese cars. Honda was really on their game in those years. I would keep it sweet and simple. Period correct. B16. Gauge cluster (needs a tach). Mild drop. Nothing crazy. So looking forward to this build. Keep up the great work guys.

Man, this really takes me back. My dad had a '93 Civic EX 5-speed. And speaking of old ladies banging gears, my mom's daily driver is still a 6-speed '02 RSX Type-S. My sister and I both learned to drive manual on that car, and the original clutch still lasted to 170k miles. To this day, that's the best manual transmission I've ever used.

I think an oem plus build would be great for this. Covert to disc on all 4 corners, shocks, springs & sway bars, cool wheel and tire package. Clean up the engine bay and a couple of power adders nothing too crazy (header, intake injectors, full exhaust system & maybe a period correct performance style valve cover). Oh and a full paint respray to color match all the panels with the same OE color or close to if possible. I would leave the interior as is maybe freshen up the mats in the rear with actual mats and maybe a shift boot and knob.

What a perfect example of pride of ownership! Old-school thinking and simple methods (cutting some carpet to use in rear seats, regular oil changes, and all the maintenance records in the glove) prove that you can make things last a very long time. We can all take a note from this lady.

I think you guys already are on the right path. NA B-series swap, LSD, full suspension, period wheels. No fender or sheet metal work. Nice seats and steering wheel. Can’t wait.

Its amazing how much we love these old Hondas... My first car was this exact same 95 DX Special Edition with the Manual, but it was a 2dr coupe.... Great find guys! I believe these generation sedans were made in Japan, while the coupe was made in Alliston Ontario

90s era Honda are my favorite. My dad had a '93 Accord SE coupe 5 spd that he bought new my junior year of college. Amazing looking car, and was a great long range cruiser. About 10 years ago, I looked for one to buy and restore to give him, but I could never find one that didn't have tons of damage or rust.

I am beyond excited about the Honda's you guys have and have been building. So happy you are going to keep it OEM+ for this. I would have a hard time as well making massive changes as this thing is just so cool the way it is!

I had a white 1992 manual. Great car. Remember, back in those days of low hp the manuals were much more popular as they performed much better than the slush boxes…btw, it would be hilarious if Mabel/Violet watches this video and sees what you are doing to her baby!

Wow, what an amazing find! That is one crispy like new Honda gem right there! Can't wait to see her final form, since I know you guys always do these cars right!

If an engine swap of its era would be the route, the B16A is no doubt the best one for it at the same time looking for a Si rear disc brake conversion for it. It would be nice to just put a ducktail on it and some nicer wheels and it would look really sick 👌

I would love to aee a bunch of old school mods on this. A complete Z6 swap from an SI or EX model, the factory larger disc setup from the ABS equipped cars, and some period correct wheels like a set of 15x6.5 CE28s.

Congratulations on the find. Those sedans are still some of my favorite cars. 😊

A modest build with a B or D16Z6/Y8 swap would be sick! Those older motors sound great and let you keep A/C easily, which might be nice since the interior is so daily-able.

Love the double wishbone suspension on these... much nicer than the Macpherson struts that replaced it. With upgraded wheels, it drove like they were on rails.

Great find! I have bought and driven many of these old school Honda’s over the years, so fun! If in your shoes, go oem plus. I still have a mint crx and dc2 integra, and they look stock except lowered slightly with very strong lightweight new wheels. The engines are both b series, as that was the engine of choice back then, still old school, yet performed ahead of it time….good luck, I’ll watch upcoming episodes!

a build using 90's era styling and mods would be pretty cool!

Fantastic find!! Love the essence of this build. As to your question, would probably fix the paint mismatch, dry ice clean, ozone clean interiors, maybe different wheels and tires, intake, maybe exhaust and stop at that … Can’t wait to see what you do.
