BMW build off episode 1: It's in remarkable shape! BMW build off episode 13: as you can see, we have significant scoring on the main bearings. BMW build off episode 27: So the engine is ready to go into the E90 wagon I just purchased

This series is going to be awesome! The M3 looks like it costs $40k and the Civic looks like it should cost $5k!

8th gens continue to live on. the agility, perfect short gear ratios, seemingly unlimited amount of grip with a proper tire suspension and alignment setup and light chassis with all the comforts of a semi modern car. excited for this series as an si owner

Only a diehard BMW addict says "reliable" and "only needs rod bearings" in the same breath.

E90 M3? Time to pull the pan and check bearings as standard service 😂

PT, that’s an absolute steal for a clean E90 M3! Looks perfect for a sympathetic refresh. 😎

This series so much more relatable. My FA5 is sitting in the garage in Sauga doing nothing. This inspires me!

I gotta be team M3 only because it’s going to have a way better retained value as long as you don’t mess with it too much. It’s a car you can own for a while and pretty much guarantee that you won’t lose any money from depreciation on. The maintenance on the other hand will be very expensive, especially if you can’t do most of it yourself.

Oh Kay this is speed academy I love! I love that you can actually drive around a road course at a fast pace. Sets you apart from being able to build a good track and street car.

That E90 gots the goods. The down shifts sound legendary.

Hey I was wondering for this type of build series. If y’all could do a baseline test at the track as well as the street before the modifications, would be a really cool to see the progression

Very excited for this series. I have owned my e90 for the past 5 years. I’m so happy with it. Just like any car, you just need to maintain it. I’ve done bearings, and the TAs. Those are really the biggest things that this platform needs. Since you have a DCT car just watch the pan for weeping. I have a 6 speed so I guess one less thing to worry about. The E90 M3 can do multiple things - go to the track on Sunday. Drive your kids to school on Monday. Pretty awesome. Congrats on getting an E90 M3 for the for the channel.

Wow, I can’t wait to see the track battle! As an ex fa5 owner and current M2 owner, who always wanted to get an E90/E92 but was scared of all the servicing, this is going to be very interesting to watch! And how da hell Pete found that M3 for $27k I don’t understand, that’s a deal of a century 👌🏼

Been watching you guys for years and finally you get e9x M3. I have an e92 M3. Mine has been super reliable currently 120k miles. I know all the possible oil leaks and all possible need attention areas. Enjoy the glory the S65

Dont forget about the M button on the steering wheel of the M3. Basically a preset setting for the steering, throttle, and damper, also a MDM traction setting only turns on with that button.
