Notice how none of the shots are at all turned or tilted. Every one of them is at a square 90°. That's a dedicated cinematographer right there.

I think its a testament to Anderson's film making that this trailer reveals almost every major plot point, and it really does not take away from your enjoyment.

I don't think enough people understand how truly beautiful this film is. It can completely change your life, if you let it.

M. Gustave: You see, there are still faint glimmers of civilization left in this barbaric slaughterhouse that was once known as humanity. Indeed that's what we provide in our own modest, humble, insignificant... oh, fuck it.

What a great movie this was. I was not familiar with the director but after a little digging around I found out that he also directed The Royal Tenenbaums, another awesome movie. What I love about this is the quirky comedy accents which remind me of Arrested Development.

I saw this last night, and thought that it was the "best original film that I have seen in a long time". The film balances it's great slapstick humour, satire on history whilst paying homage to the silent era of film, with the likes of Charlie Chaplin, throughout it's narrative. Truly great performances from all the cast, Ralph Fiennes is on fine form slick and quick witted. 5* from me thumbs up!

This is probably the best movie I've seen in a long time. Not your typical comedy or drama it's just unique and visually pleasing.

I used to watch this movie every few months back in university when I felt lost or lacked motivation. It was almost like a “restart” button.. I’d feel brand new each time I saw it. :)
