I think one reason that I'm so drawn to the concept of the backrooms is the nostalgic factor AND how the environment reflects my mental health (not in a concerning way) usually when I'm in a negative headspace my mind reaches for nostalgia as an attempt to comfort myself but the feelings of the current time is still present so it's like the two combine together where everything feels Familiar but at the same time something is wrong, it's hard for me to explain so this is the best I got ๐

I used to listen to Everywhere at the End of time during summer 2022, the last summer I had as a child. I was a fan of its themes, and thought that it depicted perfectly what nostalgia feels like ; it made me afraid of forgetting, made me feel something I had never felt in my life, as if I were an old lady thinking about her past. Now, when i listen to this album, i understand it at another level- it really feels nostalgic : I am an adult now. I won't go to another theme park with my whole family anymore. We won't go to the mall all together. We won't go the the beach all together. I am not a child anymore.

I did not expect Libetโs Delay to be on here, it might be overused but I still love that song. Itโs cool to Avalon by Sigur Ros to reappear in a playlist, that track is very underrated. Good video.
