That tile design is absolutely stunning, John. I'll bet Carlos, Andreos, Mario, and all of the other local tradesmen that have helped are really enjoying helping to renovate the property and make it a place of beauty.

I love to watch the Portuguese men at work, not that many fancy tools, but a lot of skill in their hands and work really hard, well done John for your part in cutting and designing the tiles, it is going to look beautiful. Tara is very lucky to have a husband who is willing to try his hand at anything and come up a winner every time, just never give up your dreams, that is the secret.

I greatly admire you and Tara, for many reasons. The world needs more like you two. You've chosen a journey that can be difficult at times, but what a beautiful, strong life it is, both for you two and your boys. Please never give up as the years go by and hold onto each other tight. ❀

Dear, dear John. I have to say you are one of God's best creations! I'm not sure if the addition of the chickens is meant to signify how you're currently functioning, but it just struck me funny. (Running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Lol) I like the idea of doing the roof as you did the tiny house only in the opposite direction. Not only will it be attractive, but easier to weatherproof in terms of drainage. In the future, take out the inner walls, open the outer walls to the air and you have a great open patio. Put in a couple of couches and build a brick grill. Presto! I love terra cotta tiles. They make a pattern look like a very fancy carpet! Beautiful!

John, you remind me a lot of my brother, that's a really good thing, he just goes morning until night providing for his family and making their lives better. Your boys are going to have BIG shoes to fill, and from what I can see, you and Tara are doing a great job as parents! Well Done! Everything looks great!

The tiled floor is beautiful! Your attention to detail is providing a home that suits your needs and is full of details like the tile "mat" , that will be uniquely yours and last for ages.

Hi from Australia, I am loving your tile pattern. Actually I am loving all your content, its always a disappointment at the end of you video because I want to watch more, its addictive in a really fantastic way, relaxing and entertaining. You guys have to be right at the top of my list of what I watch. At 68 with quite a few health issues and a mind that still wants to do the things I used to do 30 or more years ago, its seems to help me feel a little more settled and less pressure on myself for not being capable as I used to be. I was a little OCD and loved everything looking fab in my home and yard. My hubby is 76 in a few months and although he still tries to manage our 20 ache property on his own, there are times when it does tend to be overwhelming especially in the wet season when everything grows wildly out of control. I always say if its to much you have to tell me and we have to make a life changing decision, he says never I do this for love, its his hobby. He built this home himself over 45 years ago. He knows every inch of our property every tree planted, everything has a interesting story. This will be your story one day. Sending blessings πŸ™Œ
