I got my ESV more than a decade ago. While I am Catholic, I still have used it especially when teaching Apologetics. Its Reformed Evangelical paradigm is not overly burdensome. Its description of history, geography, politics, etc. in Biblical times is outstanding. Too bad there is no such study Bible with the Deuterocanonicals / Apocrypha, but I wouldn't expect one from an Evangelical organization. Nevertheless, well done!

Thanks Tim! I have a faux leather one from years back. Now I will sell it and upgrade to the large print buffalo leather version that was just released.
I pondered the large print, genuine leather with thumb index. However, I sacrificed the thumb index for the upgrade in the cover.
This video aided my decision.

I have to say that I LOVE this video and the way you break it down and describe this Bible. It truly is beautiful, and as weird as it may sound.. it actually looks holy. The last Bible I kind of enjoyed reading was also a study Bible. I admired the notes and all around just the extra meat it gave me along with the Scriptures. Since then I’ve switched from KJV study (cause it’s hard for me to understand) to just a couple of basic Bibles and I’ve found myself not even reading them because the lack of resources. I finally realized that I need a study Bible so I began searching again. I prayed literally just yesterday that the Lord would help me find a study Bible that I could dive deep into and grow in my relationship with Him. I watched a couple of videos before yours to learn about the study Bibles on the market and which one would benefit me most. From the very beginning of this video I am sold on this one. Obviously it’s aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but the scholarly introduction at the beginning is honestly amazing to me. The layout is clear cut and precise, straight to the point. Just the way you describe it makes me want to give it a try lol! Thank you so much for making this video! I think my prayer has been answered. Praise God!

Bought mine after watching 😂 it arrived yesterday (21st April 2023) Tim, it’s everything you said it is and more!! My only nitpicking negative is nearly all the pages are stuck together, not a really big deal just an observation. Kindest regards from deepest Dorset U.K.👍ps what do I now do with my ESV Topaz ???😂😂😂, you are costing me a small fortune!!!

This video helped me decide to get one. I got mine on sale for 50 dollars on lifeway. They were of course backordered well worth the wait. More in depth than even my MacArthur premium study bible, which I love. I found you have to gently break it in when new but then it's comfortable and great. Thanks!

Great review! I just received my ESV Study Bible in buffalo leather today. This makes my seventh ESV Bible purchase in the past six months. I love the ESV translation, and none of the editions I have are a disappointment. Your reviews are superb, mainly because you know these Bibles inside and out, and your enthusiasm makes your reviews fun to watch. Keep it coming!

I first purchased an ESV study Bible in 2008. I absolutely love this Bible. The study notes are on point. I really like the personal size though because the study Bible itself is too heavy to carry around. I don’t have the personal size because I’m thinking the print might be a little bit too small for my old eyes.
