It's worth noting that you aren't getting a job at NVIDIA unless you're at least pretty capable.
For a company like this it's probably worth investigating why an employee that made it through their hiring process wouldn't meeting expectations because they ought not have been hired if they didn't have the necessary skills.
That means it's fairly likely that some kind of psychological or learning barrier is holding them back and it's not likely to need a lot if time to address to get the most out of the employees.
In a lot of companies hiring is not nearly as strict and it's likely that getting the most our of the employees will mean getting rid of the people who don't want to or don't know how to do their jobs.
If your job is to mop floors, I don't think there's very much that a company can do for you if you're bad at it. You can show somebody the right way, you can give them some time but if you're not able to keep up with basic menial tasks due to personal issues then you're probably not going to fare better with harder work down the line. It might be kinder and more compassionate to help the bas worker to stay employed but it's unlikely to be the best move for the bottom line.

That is interesting when I hear someone say have patience with people. A lot of times a popular way is to fire fast. Even in relationship it is more often and convenient to give up and find another one. Just we heard that when people show you who they believe. I respect that amount of patience to try to improve people. Just really refreshing.
