Anglerfish have a very characteristic appearance, with their luminous head bulb and sharp teeth, however, not all anglerfish do. The anglerfish you've seen in the images are all female! The male anglerfish is much smaller and doesn't have those distinctive features. The male anglerfish behaves like a parasite by attaching to females and joining their bloodstream.

Wow! I didn't think there could be something about the angler fish scarier than how they look, but here we are! The way they mate is now the most terrifying aspect of the angler fish!
