I’m a working drummer from LA and you guys have been such a huge part of my life for many years, my son’s first rock concert was in the parking lot of the Hollywood Palladium to see Chevy Metal and the Holy Shits (having no idea it was an unannounced free FF show), this is just one of the many reasons I love you guys so much, my son knew every word because it’s his favorite band too, he was nine then. The last time I saw you guys I had driven all the way up to Fresno in December 2021 and told my girlfriend something just wasn’t quite right with T, she thought I was crazy and you guys kicked ass as usual but that nagging feeling wouldn’t go away. I was sitting behind my drums, playing a show couple months later, and she texted me telling me what had happened to T. She kept asking “how did you know Dave?” I couldn’t answer her, but I got up and told our crowd what had happened, we had a moment of silence for T, and then played “Learning To Fly” it wasn’t until I had gone to the tribute at the forum that I realized you guys would continue on, I don’t know how you do it Dave Grohl but I am forever grateful that you do, this band means everything to me! Thank you, thank you thank you for pushing ahead through life’s turmoil, and after these years of loss and heartache, you are “the man” and this is “the band”
