Estrogen levels drop during perimenopause, and this change can cause menopause symptoms ranging from hot flashes to tingling and shocks.

→ For more, check out the complete Herstasis Health Foundation episode on the facts about hormone replacement therapy and HRT:    • What is HRT? HRT and Hormones Explained. #...

What is HRT?
HRT is an abbreviation for Hormone Replacement Therapy. It is a medical treatment that involves replacing hormones in the body that have decreased due to aging or other medical conditions. Typically, HRT is used to treat symptoms associated with menopause in women, such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and mood changes. HRT can also be used to treat other conditions, such as low testosterone in men, or to help transgender individuals transition to their desired gender by changing their hormone levels. The type of hormone replacement therapy and dosage used depends on the individual's medical history, current health status, and treatment goals. It's important to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any hormone replacement therapy.

Hormones 101

If only women were educated earlier in life to notice such symptoms, there wouldn’t be the surge of women now in panic mode😢

I recently went from 130 to 165 lbs. due to menopause. Please tell me where to go for clothes because I can't find reasonable underwear (not made for 80 y.o's) and no jeans fit. Jeans go from too skinny to "falling off" or horrible cut with nothing in between.

Why didn’t you say urinary incontinence? How about vaginal chafing with normal exercise? Burning and dry vagina just from the shower water? Impossibly painful sex? You skipped right over these life altering and physically damaging symptoms.

Endless list of symptoms but few clear ideas of how to cope with them. I usually see people trying to sell their new book on menopause or an OBG specialist who has an army of pills in her cabinet! Not really helpful honestly
