Good grief. Insurance does not COVER damage from neglect to BEGIN with. If you don't maintain your roof, they won't COVER that damage. This was an excuse. They simply no longer want to insure the building.

Unless that's from a tornado, I don't blame anyone who refuses to insure the church until they get the roof fixed. Unless they can PROVE that the insurance company is liable for that, I don't see how/why the insurance company would renew a policy on that place
There's no way that roof wasn't leaking with that kind of damage to the roof/shingles.

I’m a certified Roofer and Solar Technician.
For a couple of damaged Shinlges, no need to shut down business.
Simply replace the damaged Shingles, if an actual leak then further steps on leak repair or complete new Roof. Means the person inspecting the Roof, simply did Not know what he was doing.

They’ll cancel you for not painting the structure soon enough, and rightfully so. Paint does a lot more than improve a buildings looks.

I don't see the loose shingles but yeah they're not all perfectly tightened down and it kind of defeats the purpose call the contractor even though some don't give you insurance they will honor their a deal no real contractor like to see their customer like that insurance or not 😎

The big problem is insurance companies slowly migrating out of California. They are cancelling policies left and right and leaving. It is almost like it’s coordinated.
California is moving towards state run homeowners insurance.
California is turning into a hybrid fascist/socialist state.
