Not only does she make videos about red flags, but also green flags! Bravo! 👏 Keep up the good work

Unfortunately my last interview went like this and I still didn’t get hired. They even took me on a tour of every room including the break room. 😢

absolutely hate the feeling of an interview going well and not getting the job like it gets your hopes up for no reason. i get ghosted after reaching out and it frustrates me so much like it doesn’t take that much to say no or tell you ur not getting the job

My last interview went exactly like this. Best interview I ever had, I couldn't have done a better job, I had the required experience, they checked my references- which were great. They didn't hire me and I have no idea why.

Well, I had all this, and they even said “you have to come onboard for the Christmas team” (in early October). We’ll call you next Friday to discuss details on your contract. No call. I went in after 2 weeks and asked what was going on: “oh my colleague from maintenance wants to talk to you”, had a new interview and again all green flags. But when she said “I’ll call you next Friday.” I knew that wasn’t happening. Never heard from them again. I don’t know why you’d tell someone you’re onboarding them and then just never call or e-mail, it’s really cruel to do that to someone in such a vulnerable position.

Nowadays these are just basic etiquettes every interviewer follows. For my last interview I had experience whatever you have mentioned and still got a rejected status update on portal within an hours time after interview.

I’ll never forget the interview that went EXTREMELY well including questions on how soon I could start. Then no call back. I cried for 2 days. Pretty stupid. 😂

Thank you! I followed your advice for an interview that I had a couple of days ago and I think it worked out great!

Yeahhhhh, see but this just happened to me. They did all these positive signs and I had two interviews. Then they ghosted me and I had to reach out to ask what happened and they told me they picked someone else. And everyone says Gen Z “doesn’t want to work.” smh 🤷‍♀

Or getting all these signs, saying they were setting up the next interview (and even named the person) and then getting an auto rejection email on a Saturday with no explanation.

I had a job interview recently where they did all this including a building tour and introductions. They called with an offer 2hrs later

Almost every interview I've had has gone exactly like this and many of them did not end up with a job. But I was often told that I was one of two applicants and the other applicant was chosen for whatever reason. Almost every interview I've had has gone exactly like this and many of them did not end up with a job. But I was often told that I was one of two applicants and the other applicant was chosen for whatever reason... I think people just try to be very nice and polite with job applicants when they're interviewing them. And frankly none of it means anything until you have an offer. And even then it can be rescinded just like that. Even after you put in your notice in your previous job, I've seen that happen too.

Love your videos. Please do one about having a voicemail set up and not full, and normal voice message set up so interviewers can call and leave messages to set up interviews. Drives me crazy to try and call someone for an interview and they have no voicemail setup, or it's full or it has a someone screaming a cuss word as a greeting.

All these things happened and got the job :) The thing that made me think it went really good was one of the interviewers swearing once casually in conversation, clearly showing how comfortable he was in the conversation haha

My last interviee unfortunately went "if you're hired". It lasted 20 mins when it was scheduled for 1 hr. No ask about future availability. No salary question. Very few questions. Only a vague number of how many people work at the position. Last one I think happened a lot though.

I've never been told how long an interview would last

I've learned that it's hard to know for sure. You can get along with the interviewer, but then they hire someone with more experience
