- I’ve been going through a really intense depression. I finally decided today to start therapy, I re-arranged my entire room and cleaned up, now I’m in bed I’m reading this self help book while listening to this. I know things will get better *1 month later: It’s only been a month but it feels like forever ago. I was in such a bad place and I am still working on it but I feel so much more content.

When I was just a little kid I went to the most magical place ever. It was just a simple restaurant, people serving sandwiches, some cheap wine, laughter everywhere with some indistinct chatter. Nothing from other world; but what it made it magical was the fact about that there was a jazz band and I was with my favorite uncle ever. He was a musician and I remember falling in love with those relaxing and ethereal sounds. I was introduced to this lovely genre without even noticing. These sounds made me go back in time. And I just close my eyes, and I feel like I am 9 years old again.

Checklist:
• A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧
• Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋
• Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late-night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧
• a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕
• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone, a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨
•Anything else you could need, what about a heating pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈
Reminder: After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.
You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book. (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

My dad's friend owns a jazz bar, and the music is amazing. This sounds like exactly something the band would play- one time I even got to perform “I’m beginning to see the light”, “fly me to the moon” and many others with a sax player, a trumpet player, a pianist, a drummer, and a bassist. It was probably one of the best experiences in my life. Jazz has a way of making you feel like you're on top of the world. Love the compilation and hope the 1% reading this has a great day

I never realised it even after listening to this for a month how comforting it is, life just feels easy and less anxious when I listen to this. Not too mention the peaople talking, inconsistency in rain sounds and the plates clanking really make the ambiance so much better. Really appreciate this
