The time is past when I would overstep my own boundaries or push my limits to please others. My greatest growth is absolutely in self-respect and self-love, and in knowing very well what my own boundaries are.
Because what are the consequences of not standing up for yourself?
Standing up for myself is one of the best things I ever learned from my sweet mother, and at that time I think she wasn’t even aware that she inspired me with her decisions and behavior to do things differently.
Yet it took yeeeeeeeeears before I really dared to stand up for myself, but that too turned out well. Everything always works out in the end, even though I had to burn some bridges.
