Oil 1/2 cup
Green cardamom 2 pods
Black peppercorns 4-5
Cinnamon stick 1/2 inch
Ginger garlic paste 1-1/2 tablespoons
Red chilli 1-1/2 teaspoons or to taste
Turmeric 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder 1-1/2 tablespoons
Salt 1 teaspoon or according to taste1 medium-sized onion 1 (make a paste)
Medium-sized tomatoes 2(make a paste)
Chicken half kg
Yogurt 2 tablespoons
Boiled chickpeas 1/2 cup
All spice powder/garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
Fresh coriander and green chillies for garnishing

-In a pot add oil and add green cardamom, black peppercorn and cinnamon stick and let it all splutter.
-Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for 1-2 mins until aromatic.
-Add all the spices followed by onion paste and fry for 2-3 mins.
-Now add tomato paste and fry until oil separates.
-Add chicken and fry until chicken changes its colour.
-Add yoghurt and fry for 5-6 min until oil separates.
-Add 1 & a half cups of water and let it cook on a slow flame until the chicken is completely cooked.
-Now add boiled chickpeas and sprinkle garam masala on top followed by fresh chopped coriander and green chillies.
-Serve it with naan or chapatti.
