As someone who really dislikes Apple, I do agree that the devices themselves, as in the physical pieces of harware are really good. It's just the software that ruins them because it's a closed ecosystem. That's fine as long as you just stay inside it, but once you try to do something as simple as sideloading apps, it all falls apart. Being closed like that makes the actual quality of the ecosystem irrelevant to me because it makes it useless from the start.
If Apple allowed custom firmware, maybe I'd buy an iPhone but not like this. It's not just a random complaint either because I actually require sideloading and heavy customization options pretty much daily on all of my devices, but if someone really doesn't need any of this, Apple is an okay choice. A problem for non-power users is just the price. If you don't need anything advanced chances are you don't need an expensive phone and are better off just getting a budget Android phone. Get the image of old crappy devices out of your head. Budget phones are just as good as the high end phones just with less power and without some extra features like 100x zoom or whatever. The software is still the exact same and it's not laggy in normal usage.
Apple somehow manages to be a status symbol for many people which I just don't get. Since when does a phone change your social status? (Keep in mind that the green-bubble/blue-bubble "issue" doesn't really exist where I live because people generally don't use iMessage here. We use apps like WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal)

How is charging a month's wage for weels or stands for the devices part of a good ecosystem? Their products are good but they are overpriced as hell and they are just rolling with it because having iPhones and macbooks is trendy, and people will keep buying them. For the price of a literal piece of metal from apple you can buy a perfect modern windows laptop that'll last you for years. How is that a good ecosystem lol

Whole point of ecosystem is company making you dependant on their ecosystem so they could steal even more money than they already do. That's why someone who's using common sense can not agree with this. Plus, as Windows/Android user, IOS is simply too simple for me to use, it's lowkey minimalist and it's not what I need from phone or PC.

The apple ecosystem is like living in a cage and accepting it,
Like apple is adding features that were added to android since 2010 π
