Regulators by hands and body language are what I initially use to communicate with animals I'm training, long before they understand the subtlety of my sound's meaning. They work with puppies as soon as their eyes work. They have meaning to animals as diverse as camels and bears, foxes and fish. Not to mention human infants. My kids were using them effectively when they were pre-verbal.

All animal "training" is about conversation. It progresses very fast when both are conversing, it makes us partners. Regulators are beautiful, they are the start of conversation.

Okay, I see! Thanks for explaining. I didn't realise that they're different.

Do you teach people in the corporate world how to use regulators in order to approach meetings, investors, negotiations etc? I can see where there are some that you would avoid and some that would convey confidence.

What are "Italian hand gestures" regulators, illistrators or?
Italians can be very animate even on the phone with their hand and body language and often each has a meaning....

If they were signs for lying I would tell the truth rarely. I got probably a piece of my Sicilian Godfather's spirit (you can't imagine how much I loved to say "my Godfather is Sicilian" in an equivocal manner followed by a very short, wide but mechanical smirk) since using them that much is not typical for us Germans, lol.
