100% brain rest for concussions. You need to lay off all screens. All problem solving. All reading. You need to rest. Some docs say it’s ok to listen to soothing music. But you need to heal up.

I understand the struggle between trying to maintain your physical health and managing your finances in a broken health care system that will literally bankrupt you. For my part, I’m just glad that you got it checked out. I was worried about some underlying neurological issue. You contribute so much to the world, we just want to make sure that you are okay.

I’m a bit shocked they didn’t do anything head CT because there could easily be something going on that didn’t present in the initial scan. The swelling in your hand seems like an issue, I’m not trying to bug you about it, but you always have to be aware for blood clots in situations like this, and I don’t see how anyone could be okay with that much swelling. I hope things get better soon.

The doctors usually prescribe no flashing lights, computers, television, etc. I continue to keep you in my prayers, as you continue to recover.

Love you dear! I'm so sorry for your circumstances. unfortunately many things get overlooked especially with insurance issues.
Neurological issues are definitely present not just speech.. the same side of your face where your tongue is not hitting where it should produucing the slur. Maybe show the doctors your previous videos? You should have been evaluated for concussion due to the nature of the accident. I wish you the best. ❤

Please be careful with concussions. Take your time getting back to your normal routine. My brother got one that was really bad during football that they thought his eye got dislodged slighty from it's socket but that wasn't the case. His concussion was just so bad that he was having trouble seeing out the side he hit hit on. He ended up getting a second one the same seaaon and decided to hang it up because it wasn't worth going through another one again. He still suffers from really bad motion sickness from it. I pray he doesn't have any side effects later on in life because of it.

Part of being concussed is also being unable to sequence things and also insisting you're completely fine because you "know" you are. I'm happy you have people around you that can make these kinds of suggestions right now.

I’m worried that you may have had a small stroke, you should ask about blood clots as soon as possible !

Your speech seems %50 better than yesterday

Your eye movements are delayed and I can hear slight slurring of words. I’m an RN of nearly 30 years so my observations of people/assessment is skewed toward a true health assessment. With your hand swelling, is is possible for you to elevate your arm to shoulder height? Put a few pillows on your lap and rest your arm that way? Read through your hospital paperwork to see what info was given for arm
position, or you can also call the surgeon’s office to let them know about the swelling.

As a trauma caregiver, please get some rest. Lay down, no computers, cell phones, games, etc. REST your brain! Close your eyes and rest. All body parts need to be rebuilt ❤
