Boost Your MOTIVATION: The Power of Positive Emotional States
The other day I mentioned a coaching client who seldom has positive emotions of any real intensity. And they all the time feel highly negative emotions at high levels of intensity.
This is what I told her to reverse that so she could OVERCOME those NEGATIVE MINDSETS.
I told her, "What you need to do, is you need to practice putting yourself in a POSITIVE EMOTIONAL STATE for 5 or 10 minutes at a time, at 8, 9, or 10 level of intensity. And you need to do that at least once a week to start.
Preferably you start doing it DAILY, as soon as you can tolerate it.
Because, until you have consistent (and highly intense) positive emotions, you're never going to OVERRIDE all those negative emotions that are probably holding you back.
