I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.
Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.
I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock.

Elon is a very smart guy who understands the mind blowing margins that software can be sold for…I can see him selling FSD and all sorts of other software to legacy OEM’s who are likely to fail if they don’t do something to close the gap to Tesla!

Also the modules. Tesla seems to have their electronics supply chain together and the OEM total vehicle production is still fairly small so one could see them ramping together without affecting Tesla production.

Will not be limited to software. Do realize that the whole hardware architecture on which this software runs is proprietary. Given that other OEM lack the software capability to match that software with even a slightly different hardware it seem much more probable that other OEM will have to licence a much bigger part of the integrated electric/electronic/computational architecture. Do realize that the chip including neural network is Tesla designed.

I don't see anyone but Jim Farley having the humility to use Tesla's software. I think the other OEM's will go bankrupt first.
