Thank you. And YES, i have surrended all to Jesus - Amen. However...(😅).. a thing or two of my flesh that i thought i had surrendered i take back sometimes ( - just for a day or a moment or two). I used to call it 'Going AWOL'. Others call it 'Backsliding'. Now i just accept that tho i am 'perfect' in Jesus i am not perfect in my body of flesh, and that partaking in something that many Christians think 'hellish' actually keeps my mind from 'going there'. I'm definitely not 'perfect' in this body, but i do believe that i am 'complete' (for a better word) in Jesus and eternally safe our Father's loving hands; as i continually seek to draw closer to Him and His Way. Is that about Resurrendering? ..Or am i a heretic? I brought up the subject at a very good Men's Group i was invited to last week. But they spouted verses at me from their English Bible Scriptures that proved me wrong! (I thought i held my own in my defence, but didn't want to say too much for fear of disrespecting them and the generous hospitality given me - otherwise i would have opinioned that wine isn't grapejuice; that taking a little of it 'for your stomach's sake' or 'frequent infirmities' could include partaking to ease one's mental or spiritual stress; that when Paul fairly chastises the members of the Corinthian church for being drunk at church, he adds that if they do drink they should do it in their homes; and that in the KJVs of the book of Deuteronomy there is a verse about worshiping God that says one should take a certain tithe and 'spend that money on whatever thy soul lusteth after: for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household'). Hmmm🤔.. Am i right or wrong on this? Am i a heretic? a backslider? a drunkard? (No! that's not surrender). What duz yus all think?
