If you lie, cheat and act like a snakeā¦ you are in the wrong. He had it in his contract , he offered to drop to someone else so walking away with it to WCW was bullshit. They were just of low moral character period.

I think Undertaker was under the Impression that the following Raw after Montreal was Bretās last appearance while not being under contract with WWF. I was a huge Bret fan, but I donāt believe he wanted to drop the belt (not saying he wouldnāt have) but giving a speech in front of a pro Canadian crowd, forfeiting the tittle, making a sceptical of himself, feeding his ego would be right up Bretās ally. I mean the man had a huge picture of himself in his wrestling attire above his bed for god sakes.

Overall, I agree with Bret.
Takers relationship with Vince clouds his judgement on this one. There were so many ways this couldāve been done better where everyone got a W.
Vince wanted the screw job. Plain and simple. Heās shown time and time again over the years his willingness to be awful if he deems it ānecessary for the businessā
Bret was champion of record during one of the largest slumps in WWE interest pre-dating Attitude era. Vince probably blamed Bret for that.
