It’s pretty succinct; all these attempts are basically tries to reconquer the galaxy or soften it up for a takeover, with the First and Final Orders being the amalgamation of this “Imperial Conquest.” (I really love the First and Final Order as rising conqueror factions, and I do think it would be cool to see some small holdouts or even fanatics to their side make a reappearance in later media.)
