It eventually reached a point where my body craved a session after a rest day. A regular practice has helped my body feel at its BEST, and so skipping days because I don't have time is actually the harder part now. And soreness leads to me wanting a restorative session, so I love how there is an option for a practice to leave me feeling at my best no matter what state my body is in.

I absolutely agree with the tips. Set up a fixed timeframe and stick to the practice. I won’t have breakfast or do anything else without doing yoga first. Just make it a part of your daily routine and it becomes a second nature! ❤

Even if it’s a 10 minute flow just to ensure I did it and didn’t entirely skip a day is my key to it. It doesn’t have to be balls to the wall long yoga sessions every day. But some movement on my mat every day, even 10 minutes, keeps me consistent.

One day off completely and one day gentle. When I was younger I never skipped a day. But in listening to my body as I’m in my 50s, I need a little more recovery.

Thanks for the tip :)
I've been keeping a fitness journal for years now & for me, it's working really well, just some calendar every year with space to write for every day of the week & everything workout related I do including yoga goes in there, so no way lying to myself bt how much I did or doing the same thing 5 days in a row without noticing.

I try to exercise every day - not everyday is pure yoga, as I am dancing and running and doing other kinds of exercise, and, alas, day has only 24 hours, but even on those days I do other kind of physical activity I incorporate yoga at least to my warm up/stretching. It is really much easier to stay consistent this way. And even five minutes is better than nothing. The only time I may skip exercise altogether is when I am ill - but even then I try some relaxing practice (not so much to stay consistent, but simply for feeling better). Each of the practices, you bring us, is a great joy for me and I am happy I have found you on Youtube. Thank you, Charlie!

I always take weekends as my rest days. I’ve been consistent for 10 months straight since I started a college yoga class in January, my schedule hasn’t changed. I’ve grown so much from this practice so it shows that this isn’t for everyone! I take my weekends very seriously and need those times to take a break from my yoga practice:) just find a schedule that works best for you

I think this is super personal. I practice yoga 5 days a week and I have 2 days off, during my last period I took full week off and I could feel that my body enjoyed this rest and felt ready and energised to continue with the practice. So, it depends on peoples purpose and mental strength. If someone has a lack of motivation and always sucks with a some kind of routine maybe it’s better just keep going and once the routine is created try how it feels with a day off, two days off, ect. Great practice everyone ❤🎉

what helps me to be consistent and not to give up doing yoga at home is being kind to myself. I've given myself a permit to be lazy at times, so I can go without yoga 2-3 days without feeling guilty. ans then my body starts craving movement)) so whatever you do, don't act as a bad cop towards yourself. Be kind)))
