As someone else said gratitude & not focusing on myself was a huge key for me , but having a goal ,task, or obligation outside of myself was what changed things. I have people counting on me now & there is so much to do I don't have time to be depressed! There is no time to constantly ruminate on what bothers ME. I am so tired at the end of the day I don't need sleep aid or anti depressants.(weaned). Find a way to break the cycle of rumination ! No one is happy 100% of the time & even if you don't love your life you can change this depressed state & find joy again as he says!
