화순 능주에서 나주 남평 4km 사이에 있는 나주 남평 드들강의 얼었던 강이 녹는다.
그저 바라만 봐도 좋네.

지석강 (砥石江)
길이 53.5㎞. 이 강은 화학산에서 흘러내려 능주면을 지나면서 충신천(忠臣川)이라 불리고, 서쪽으로 방향을 전환하면서 화순천(和順川)과 합류하며, 남평에 이르러 대초천과 다시 합류하여 영산강에 흘러든다.
전라남도 화순군 이양면의 예치(禮峙)와 청풍면의 화학산(華鶴山, 614m)에서 발원하여 능주면을 지나 영산강으로 흘러드는 강.
