Hot take: I think that the reason they set a higher brightness was because the main concern with the world in CBT was that it was not "colorful enough" or it was "dreary". This is a classic example of: sometimes the customer doesn't know exactly what they want. Dark and dreary can be a really nice add in especially in a darker game like Wuthering Waves. This story is not a feel good story.

I have a friend I talked to this about. They said something about when the brightness was higher, it essentially just added more white to everything, which made it look muted and lowered contrast in colors. I could be wording it wrong, but the explanation they gave me directly did make sense

The first thing i noticed was the image looked like trash putting the brightness 3-5 ticks from minimum give it proper contrast and takes away the foggy look while keeping detail in dark areas

btw if you are playing on 1080p and your monitor is a higher res switch to windowed mode, then change your res, then switch back to full screen
