As a butcher i can say, that this is not a sausage. You have to blend not just meat, but also parts with high fat-content, crush ice, phosphat/citrate and curing salt. Also you get a lot better crunch when u use a small lamb casing

The secret to a good hotdog (as a New Yorker) is to boil your dog until the casing is taught and nearly ballooning. The casing needs to be high enough quality that it won’t burst in the boil. Finish it in a pan or grill to add a sear, and you’re golden

I’m 99% sure that Costco employees can’t take any sort of tip or compensation from members. I worked inside of one for about a year and I once saw an employee have to turn down a damn water bottle that the gentleman in front of him bought so that he didn’t have to wait in line any longer. The employee was super polite about it but he legit could not take the water bottle since he’d get in trouble. The employee then took his turn at the water machine and bought a water bottle to then return to work. Was so funny to me cause like wtf is that rule. But he was dead serious.

Max I have an idea for a video. If you feel like making a trip to Arizona, on either a Friday or Saturday, go to the Lowe’s on Happy Valley Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway. My grandparents own a hot dog business that they set up outside the store every Friday and Saturday. It’s called Doodle Dogs and it’s their 10th and probably final year doing this. They’ve been selling probably (not just me saying this, customers say it all the time online) the best hot dogs in the Southwest. Super affordable prices and you won’t regret it. If you did this it would mean the world to them and me ❤. (They don’t set up if it’s super hot outside so maybe go in the months where it’s a bit cooler outside)
