They are playful when going along flat or falling grades , as with an analogue bicycle . Up hill they feel a bit incremental due to the 14 stator windings and not frequency controlled AC motors , which have smoother power progression . This is a "MAJOR DRAWBACK" . Fully variable power output is not possible with pedalecs. I have dissected several motors for educational purposes . Brian should pull some motors apart too and get service accreditation .
