Not wanting to tar them all either the same brush but I have seen shorts here where their horses, who have out lived the amish people's usefulness, are sent to slaughter but thankfully have been rescued by wonderful sanctuaries who let them live a safe and healthy retirement. The injuries on these horses is utterly shocking and disgusting. It is heartbreaking to think of the cruelty they were subjected to.
