When I made my first novel, I felt proud of it at first. I started to wonder about new books. But then I started talking to other authors. And the horrible disqualification I got from them, it did the opposite of kill my writer's doubt. Instead, it just inflated it. I haven't been able to write more than a chapter ever since then. Every attempt just comes back to that trauma.
So whilst this video presents a nice ideal, it's not always going to happen. I can attest to that.

I think after listening to Brandon Sanderson talk about writing Iβm so sad that if I write a story and it sucks I will feel like I wasted all those good ideas.
