An internet search indicates that in 2016 (before the murders occurred), it was possible for someone like a graphic arts student to use Artificial Intelligence to modify photographs. Suppose a couple of innocent photos were taken and run through AI to βmuck upβ key features like BGβs face, then placed on a phone to be used as a false lead.

One way to get a low res image at least to appear sent from a phone (meta data time wise) to make it seem like it was filmed at that exact time (if you were actually somewhere else) would be to video capture a pre filmed projected image at that exact time. I don't know IF this is possible without location data appearing- assuming it may not be completely switched off to 'back door' LE forensics . This back door entry may not have been as likely in 2017 with a cellphone phone probably predating 2017.
The purpose MIGHT be to establish an alibi timewise for the killer or to set up someone by prefilming them who WASN'T the actual killer. Sound could be recorded from prior sources also.
Or to make feasible another kill or IMO kill AND sacrifice site with less or no extrinsic witnesses.
Assuming this isn't a LE setup or a crime/ espionage 'chatter' creation operation.

Check out Eye of Apophis. He is an ex intelligence agent and has done a detailed analysis of the fake Libby and BG images rigt down to the misaligned pixels. Set up! The phone was found underneath one of the bodies. It was loaded with the images and placed there.
