2.2 cos P = adjacent side / hypotenuse = PQ / PR = 12 / 13
2.3 tan P = opposite side / adjacent side = QR / PQ = 5 / 12


3. If sin A = 3/5, find cos A and tan A.

Solution:

Using sin²A + cos²A = 1,
cos A = √(1 - sin²A) = √(1 - (3/5)²) = 4/5
tan A = sin A / cos A = 3/4


4. If cos A = 4/5, find sin A and tan A.

Solution:

Using sin²A + cos²A = 1,
sin A = √(1 - cos²A) = √(1 - (4/5)²) = 3/5
tan A = sin A / cos A = 3/4


5. If tan A = 7/24, find sin A and cos A.

Solution:

Using tan A = sin A / cos A,
