Because Trump and his people used the Epstein case as a cudgel against Democrats during the election. They claimed over and over that Democrats were covering up some explosive scandal that would destroy top Democrats. Bondi and Bongino and Patel all said that once they were in power, they would expose it all, and all of these Democrats were finally going to go to jail. Now, it's shaping up that it is Trump and his people who are the ones actively appearing to hide something. Remember, Democrats never claimed that Epstein's case held more secrets that were purposefully being hidden. Only Republicans did that. And they did it in a partisan way. Democrats never used all of the pictures of Trump partying with Epstein, all of the quotes Trump has stated about Epstein, and all of the times that Epstein spoke about Trump, against Trump or the Republican Party. Only Trump and his crew of grifters did that. Now that they have actual power to answer questions that they themselves have raised, they appear to want the issue to die. Well, this guy here said that he will do his very best to make sure that the issue won't die. You can't blame Democrats for any of this. This is a monster that was created by Trump and his own people.
