Ancient Giants Legends, Fossils, and the Quest for Truth
Giant humans and their fossils have inspired numerous legends throughout history.

Nephilim: Mentioned in the Old Testament, these giants are described as beings born from the union of the sons of God and human women, depicted as powerful and tall.

Goliath: The giant warrior of the Philistines, mentioned in the Book of Second Samuel, is said to be 6 cubits tall (about 2.9 meters). His story with David is a famous example of giant legends.

In 1895, a large fossil discovered by Dyer in Ireland measured 3.7 meters tall and weighed 2050 kg due to fossilization. It had six toes on its right foot, but little is known about its fate.

In the 1890s, French scientists found a giant human fossil approximately 3.6 meters long. Some megalithic tombs in Ireland revealed skeletons around 2.7 meters long. Reports from the 19th century mention a giant skeleton found in Hokkaido, about 2.7 meters tall, and several skeletons in Arizona reaching 2.4 meters.

The Chachapoya culture in Peru is rich with legends of giants, claiming encounters with these beings. Native American mythology describes Devils Tower as a home for giants, who supposedly carved the stones there.

In Nigeria's Ogbomosho region, a giant skeleton was reportedly found in the 1930s, measuring around 3.4 meters, and 19th-century Fiji saw reports of skeletons up to 2.5 meters tall. Most of these findings lack scientific verification and are viewed through a mythological lens.
