This movie has a higher individual kill count than most movies ive seen and yet handled it in a child appropriate way. In a way that tells kids that death is a part of life and nature. I didnt think id see a movie where someone gets decapitated in the first few minutes and still think its actually a really good movie for children.
The movie doesnt have gore, and you dont see most of the deaths. Id consider most deaths on the level of the mom in brother bear or mufasa in lion king. But theyre more casual about it, understanding that sometimes death just happens. Nature is brutal, even though it sometimes is kind.
