Only EVs that actually have a wow factor to them in person and would demand attention on the road is a nice spec Taycan,Lucid, or hummer EV. Not to mention Teslas are depricating at a historic rate.
A cool car is something people will take pics of and double take to look at Teslas def dont have that going for it.

Please don’t forget the business of Ford is not to sell vehicles but to sell parts and equipment to fix vehicles after sales. This business remains intact as long as lifespan of sold vehicles remains. Ford can sell at 0 profit margin ice cars and still make profits. On other hand the debt of the company already is huge -but then again with infinity financial support of the biggest company in the world, the uS government, Ford will be fine don’t worry about them ;)

Dude, “if”?
The only people who hate evs are either:
1. people who can’t afford them
2. ICE manufacturer employee.
3. people not old enough to drive.
Only #1 might had bought an out of warranty EV and didn’t do research, and now has an axe to grind.
Edit: if you can’t afford them don’t be bitter. Just around the corner we might get the $25K EV.

2024Q1. The financial value proposition analysis is logical yet it's EVs that have a resale value of 50% in the first year. Largely due to charging uncertainty, battery limitations and Battery Health mystery. Theoretically, his future awaits ICE cars, if they had no inherent advantages or desirability at all but they do, around refueling and could weather. I'm order to get to his prediction, EVs have to get to the long term (year after year) majority sales volume of the market. Hope and wish is not a plan or proof of future performance and this far, the EV has matcher has started at least 2 times before (early 1900s and 1990s) and the problems are better managed but still the same, so the takeover while infinitely more probably now vs the prior pushes but in reality, this has been a 120 year revolution and it's clearly not inevitable, still; no matter the fervor in the past few years because public sentiment MATTERS and it spoked up and has quickly ramped down from the YouTube influencer and early adopter waves.
