Yes, so true 😂 a few years ago there was almost no bjj in korea. Now a lot of judo trainers transformed their schools into bjj schools

I lived in Seoul for a year in Sinchon and trained with John Frankl for a bit. This was 2011. Already you could see higher level Korean judokas and hapkido practitioners migrating towards BJJ. John definitely has had a lot to do with BJJ becoming a thing in the RoK. A great time in my life training with you John!

There are abiut 600 bjj schools in south korea under my team's affiliation. Couldn't believe it at first.

That particular seoinage was banned in international tournaments. Possibly because so many south korean judokas were using that move and winning.
