The two people you showed who went through 'struggle' (Bill Gates and Warren Buffett), are both from wealthy and successful families. They had safety nets under them.

Mark is absolutely right. Unfortunately, i learnt it from my mistakes. I listened to successful entrepreneur's podcasts and YouTube videos and tried to follow their advice. As a result, I've nearly gone broke as a business person. The right things for me would be too listen to myself and what i thought was right to do but as i hadn't had enough experience i believed that my judgement of the situation was wrong.

Rich does not equate to success unless wealth is your only measurement. I think wealthy people often use wealth as a measurement for success because it is their ONLY area of success.

Isn’t Mark rich though? So if that’s right I shouldn’t listed to his advice. But… That would be following his advice so I SHOULD listed to his advice…. Ok I’m confused now.

The way to do smthg consistently is to find a way to make it feel good/give you energy. Then you'll want to do it not scroll past/doing smthg not energizing

Put in the work for your dreams. Invest in yourself first before investing into other things. You are what’s most important

This works in academia too. Undergrad students that have a crazy passion for the subject will often end up going further into academia (PhD, professorship etc.) because they end up living and breathing that kind of work. The students doing a degree to get the degree will often struggle in getting grades moreso at the final stages

they also have a good, ready made, platform to take off from and trajectory is helped along by the right connections and knowledge. Also if they crash they have softer landings than us

Yes they are giving you the shortcut so you don't repeat their mistakes, if you already feel happy and balanced you will have the energy to go on and enjoy the challenges and the process.

Rich people are never balanced 😂 rich and poor are both extremes and extremes are never balanced. Striving for something in the middle and discovering your calling in life is likely the most ideal place to live.

I've already gone through the 10 years of grind, struggle, failure and suffering. Let's see how long this continues, not everybody becomes rich unless they are supported by luck.

You shouldn’t take advice from rich people because they all inherited their wealth in some way and exploited countless others to build it more

Ten years in the grind in a corporate environment and definitely not on the other side yet, one starts to think about work life balance.
