My husband literally said 'I don't have any issues, and I'm not going to change now, I'm nearly X-years old'. This was after me expressing it's unhelpul to perpetually tell me my feelings of hurt aren't normal, and even say I've got serious issues for bringing it up. I'm still so confused somedays. I agree. Example: the 2 narcissists in my life colluded to make me little more than a slave for the privilege of caring for my terminally ill mother in her final years. Then manipulated me into caring for my demanding covert father. After 17 years I said I will only continue to care for him if I am no longer bullied, threatened, menaced, isolated or lied about. You dont have to help just stop intentionally hurting me.
The howls of indignation soon followed. Some think it is their RIGHT to abuse others. Sick sick people.
