I watched the video. I think 7 Rem Mag is great. I have a 7 mm PRC. And a handful of 308s. I like the 7 PRC. But the 7 RM is great, especially for current availability. But that will change. More people are making more stuff for the 7 PRC.

Just like a lot of things, its adequate for 90% of what you want to do with it. Debatable whether it's excessive for medium and the smaller end of the large game side, but its a fine cartridge.
Whats always the limit is available rifles, available ammo, and the double edged sword: trends.
