You’re not alone. I started to hate any song that’s overused because I’m so sick of hearing it over and over. There is zero creativity. It’s all about jumping on the bandwagon and getting views.
That’s why I appreciate that you make your own music! It’s refreshing!
Also, I’ve been watching a lot of shorts on mute lol

10000000% HARD AGREE! I am an EXTREMELY sound sensitive person and I feel it both with music clips and sound effect/stock voices being used... especially that semi ai/semi "female" voice that have been used on everything everywhere since I think 2020... I see/hear red immediately... I feel a sudden type of furious anger/rage that I have never ever experienced, that only technology can make me feel. Sending you ALL my love and support and a giga hug, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being you🫶❤️🧚🏼♀️✨.

it’s also a way fans boost their favs and so many articles are now written about how it’s destroying the music industry bc they’re now producing specifically to get a viral clip and not like, a good song. It’s insane. And they’re dropping artists who aren’t going viral bc of it like WTF is that????

SAME. I’ve been following you for 10 years now probably, and I know how much you appreciate good music, Martina. Decreasing a song’s content and value by rinsing, repeating, and attaching it to something that has no appreciation for the song itself (aka random tiktok videos of people cleaning, feeding their babies) is hard to watch. The song loses its meaning and exists for the sole purpose of making quick engagement (probably cash if we consider tiktok). So yeah. It’s like the concept of “nothing can make you hate a song quicker than setting it up as your alarm sound” but worse. So it’s totally valid. People like us care about the music we play and the things we show with the music. Most people who rinse popular songs don’t. They just either want to get quick validation or cash. It is annoying. (But then again I’m also old)

100% agree with you on this. Creativity dies in the trash heap of popularity on the internet.
