I am a dopamine chaser. And I have done all of the addictions and during my time getting over them I have always, always believed that my addictions were the result of an original dopamine deficiency in my childhood. Family dynamics were such that I didn't get to naturally formulate the basis for my own dopamine production/feedback system. Glad simeone is validating this. I really, really, really miss the dopamine in my life.

We self medicate/ get addicted because we want to suppress/ numb past hurt/ trauma instead of healing/ transmuting that hurt/ trauma

Dopamine can be replaced with natural methods! Treating any kind of addiction can be challenging & a struggle. Love & understanding goes a long way❤❤

Purpose is the missing piece, find your purpose >you find your dopamine.

I read a comment on YouTube today that recovering alcoholics make good ultra runners, wonder if it’s dopamine deficiency related 🤔

Dude has an addiction to showing off his guns. Sorry couldn’t resist, this is the internet after all where we all try to be clever. However what he’s saying, treating the addiction rather than the dopamine deficiency is interesting. I’d like to hear some examples on how we can treat the deficiency
