Ironically, as someone into spirituality, yelling at evil spirits is the correct thing to do. They will usually look for any opening to mess with your vibes, they will and yelling at them or telling them "fuck off" will actually get them to stop. I don't know the REASON why it works but it does. I've told spirits to piss off last year because I had troube sleeping. Works wonders!
