Criminy, I just noticed something crazy; Lute is dressed in clean clothes for most of the song, but at 1:34 she stands up and gains two splotches of red sinner's blood.
I wonder... Animation error, or subtle nod to the fact that angels and demons have a 'true' form that comes out when they're volatile? Lute being permanently bloodstained is pretty in-character for her, have to admit.

The hellfire in Sera's eyes is honestly great symbolism alongside the lyrics. "To do what was required", yeah, how many times have WE heared that before?
Charlie asks if Sera cares, but her actions show she does not. If anything she's the most evil character I'd say so far in the show. Not because of how much blood is on her hands, or how much pain she's caused or allowed, but in HOW she goes about doing so. Just my opinion of course, but that kind of deception is at least one of the most evil kinds of evil there is. She portrays herself as virtuous and just, but in reality is the real demonic...*thing*.
I LOVE this show. lmao

Emily is definitely Charlie's parallel. They're sheltered, naive, in high places, with strong sense of morals and belief in virtues, both open and willing to extend a hand to others, and tbh their respective naiveté likely comes from the adults who love them sheltering them and thinking they aren't strong enough to be burdened in unintentional condescension.
Tho Emily is more sheltered than Charlie just on account of never having known of the extermination while Charlie has to live with that knowledge.
Lucifer has given up (after being crushed by Heaven), Sera has resigned and hardened her heart entirely--Emily and Charlie are definitely gonna be an important bond made going forward

Notice how Adam is visibly seething at 2:48. He clearly realizes they're calling him a sinner, which he DOESN’T seem happy about. But if demons can rise, then angels can sure as hell fall.

0:59 You can hear the dissolving temper in her voice. She had to put up with everything. She was ridiculed, given almost no support nor chance. Despite all, she managed to prove herself right yet she still tries to appeal such injustice. All her efforts, greatly expressed, in her momentarily voice.

Charlie's daddy issues are so severe that she didn't realize that she was dating a fallen angel like her dad.
