Don't push yourself too much brothers, I once hitted gym then my progress slowly going well, one day My trainer forced me to push too much so I listen to him then I had a huge waist pain stroke, I had to do the x ray about it because this pain lasted 2 months resulting into sore . be aware how hard you go yourself. also stay focused on gym

I don’t get sore when I use proper form and rest unless it’s a new muscle group I’m targeting. Totally agree with this. Being sore could mean something completely different than gains

Yep! I do drop sets with 35lb dumbbells as my starter and do a whole workout. then grab my 30lbs do the workout again always, pushing my sets to failure with proper form as focus and slow controlled movements only with 5 mins or more between sets of rest. Still get sore after and definitely had growth

2nd day at the gym(was doing home workouts prior to this. Basically never been to a gym before) and I'm currently really sore.Tomorrow I'm gonna hit a leg workout but I'm not confident if I'll be able to do my exercises properly. Should I skip or should I still go?

PS:- 2nd day at the gym and a really jacked guy helped me correct my form for lateral raises. I didn't ask him for help but he came up to me on his own and helped me out. It was truly a wholesome moment that I've only seen on YouTube videos. Never really experienced it firsthand. I guess all big guys are nice in general. 😊

He not saying soreness is bad. You tell by time and seeing gains and strength improvement later on. We all feel the pump that the exercises gives us. The growth is thru the recovery process. Along with a good diet.

im more sore the further i go up i weight but it actually prevents me from trainig as much so im considering stepping back and doing more. gains have slowed becasue of it .

After working out for a while you’re just not going to get sore easily. Usually if I’ve got a good pump and my muscles are fatigued enough that my volume drops off, I know I’ve worked plenty.

My indicator for a good push day is if I cant hold an upright position on a dip station without shaking like its 2012, then I probably did good.
