This is a perspective I’ve grappled with for a long time. I could never comprehend the vengeance and vindictiveness if they felt they were losing, and the unreasonable excuses to dispute reality and logic just so they could ALWAYS be “right” (even if only in their mind)

Insightful-- I always think of narcs as mainly self-centered, but they are also COMPETITIVE. My husband was hard to detect because he wasn't competitive in some ways at all-- in ways I admired-- after 30 years I was still in awe of how much he didn't care what other people thought of him. Now, I'm wondering if that was his way of accepting that he wasn't always winning. But he was also very smart and very mentally focused on his work, so he was not paying attention to what people thought of him. He took care of his needs and didn't notice other people most of the time.

I'm just not understanding why we can't educate on these abuses. I've been trying through many avenues. No luck. All of you therapist an psychiatrist should come together an help us by getting this education when in a domestic violence situation. The government isn't listening to the VICTIMS ..HELP US

unfortunately.... THIS IS ALMOST EVERYONE'S PERSPECTIVE IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY KNOWN AS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA... WHEN I GO TO EUROPE, NOBODY IS COMPETITIVE, nobody is trying to make someone else lose....nobody is tryna win ...everyone truly wants everyone to qin equally and be equally happy and equally succesful... and im conservative and pro free markets, pro capitalism, so dont think that im pro socialism etc.... but the culture in europe and even australia and i assume canada is that most people desire to just love and be loved and appreciate the beauty of life..... they have no desire to just get rich quick and put down others simply for the sake of putting others down.... except in Rome, they definately are into putting down foreigners and perhaps eachother...but thats the only place outside of the whole usa that i have experienced this kind of behaviour
