To protect oneself from UPI scams, it is essential to be cautious while sharing personal information online and to verify the authenticity of any payment request or service provider. Users must also avoid clicking on suspicious links or downloading apps from unverified sources.
In case of suspicious activity, users should immediately report the issue to the concerned authorities and their bank.

I told this to a shopkeeper and he said that now a days everyone has an announcement thingy in the shops where the machine announces how much money is transferred. So if there's another QR code in it then the announcement won't happen. And they also check if they got the money before giving us the item

In Tamil Nadu, Shopkeepers first check if they recieved the money then let you go. This should be practiced by every shopkeepers
